Gospel Hill

Gospel Hill is an American drama film from the year 2008. it Directed by Giancarlo Esposito, who also took over one of the major roles and co-produced the film. The screenplay by Jeff Stacy, Jeffrey Pratt Gordon and Terrell Tannen.
Plot :
The action takes place in Julia, a city in the southern United States. The African American living in the city led by Dr. Ron Palmer, who runs a clinic. In Julia John Malcolm lives, whose brother Peter, a black civil rights activist, was murdered thirty years before. Malcolm still cannot deal with the loss of his brother. His wife Sarah is fighting against the plans of expansion, headed by Dr. Palmer Hospital. Meanwhile, the former sheriff of the town Jack Herrod, who once sabotaged the investigation, stated that he will die soon. His son Carl is having an affair with the wife of Dr. Palmer.
Background of the  movie:
The film was shot in Fort Mill (South Carolina) and York (South Carolina). Its production costs amounted to an estimated 6 million U.S. dollars. The world premiere took place on 9 February 2008 at the European Film Market instead. On 24 August 2008, the film on the Democratic National Convention was shown. On 3 October 2008 was a demonstration held at the Woodstock Film Festival. The distribution rights for North America, has acquired 20th Century Fox.
